About the role
- Be a key member of the GBS Vendor Management team that selects, contracts, and manages BPO providers to deliver services supporting ALDI’s global strategy
- Build strong, long-lasting partnerships with our major business service providers and identify opportunities to drive value and quality for the business
- Act as a trusted advisor to our functional GBS teams and country stakeholders by providing well-founded guidance on vendor management and ensuring effective collaboration
- Support end-to-end tender processes by managing all stages, including vendor pre-selection, requirements gathering, evaluation, contract negotiation, and preparation of recommendation and decision documents
- Develop in-depth knowledge of contract content and proactively review, update, and amend contracts to reflect changing circumstances or business objectives
- Train and advise internal stakeholders on contract terms and vendor management best practices
- Identify cross-departmental risks related to vendor management and develop appropriate mitigation measures
- Support and participate in senior management site visits to service provider delivery centres, including locations in India and Eastern Europe
- Drive the standardisation and continuous improvement of vendor management procedures and compliance frameworks to ensure consistency and best practices across all service providers and stakeholders
Requirements
- Relevant degree in business administration, business informatics, law, or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in vendor relations or partner/vendor management
- Good understanding of contractual structures and solid legal knowledge of service contracts
- A natural networker with assertiveness and the ability to communicate and negotiate diplomatically with people at different hierarchical levels
- Excellent communication skills enabling effective collaboration in a multinational, cross-functional environment
- Proficient in PowerPoint and other presentation tools
- Fluent in English
