About the role
- Provide technical support to customers and collaborate on new opportunities
- Support evaluations of GlobalFoundries technologies and help drive design wins that lead to tapeouts and first-time-right silicon outcomes
- Gain a strong understanding of GlobalFoundries’ technology offerings by engaging with internal experts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align GF technologies with customer needs and application requirements
- Support customers through technical evaluations and tapeout processes in partnership with GF subject matter experts
- Develop clear, customer-facing technical documentation demonstrating how GF technologies address targeted application and market challenges
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
- Participate in one-on-one mentorship, professional development opportunities, and networking with executives during the internship
Requirements
- At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum overall 3.0 GPA and in good academic standing
- English (Written & Verbal) fluency
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship
- Prior related internship or co-op experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience (preferred)
- Project management skills (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (preferred)
- Strong planning & organizational skills (preferred)
- Coursework in Circuit Design, Semiconductor Device Physics, or Materials Science (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, EDA (Electronic Design Automation) software, and Linux operating systems (preferred)
