About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Negotiate with customers and internal clients to obtain deal closure
- Formulate effective and efficient negotiation and resolution strategies to meet business objectives
- Provide advice and counsel to various functional areas of the business, including identifying and mitigating risks
- Draft, review and advise on contract drafts
- Provide advice and guidance and management direction to other attorneys, paralegals and other contracts professionals
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education - J.D., LLB (or equivalent degree)
- Experience - 10+ years of experience at a law firm or comparable corporate environment in a sophisticated commercial transactions practice
- Skills - Excellent contract drafting skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form with all levels of employees throughout the company
- Proven success working in cross-functional and geographically diverse teams and utilizing available company resources effectively
- Strong interest in and proven track record with challenging assignments.
- Travel - Up to 10%
- Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
- Physical Capacity Demands – Office work
