About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as Company Secretary for the Group and its subsidiaries
- Plan and administer Board and Committee meetings, including agendas, board papers, minutes, and governance records
- Advise directors and senior leaders on company law, governance, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain statutory registers and oversee Companies House and other regulatory filings
- Manage governance and compliance activities across UK and international entities
- Oversee relationships with external company secretarial providers and advisors
- Support corporate transactions, restructurings, entity incorporations, and wider legal projects
- Monitor legislative changes and ensure compliance across the Group
- Lead the Group’s insurance governance and renewal activities
- Work closely with the Board, Executive Team, and senior stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in a Company Secretary or senior governance role
- Experience gained in-house, within a law firm, or in a corporate services environment
- Strong knowledge of UK company law and corporate governance
- Experience supporting Boards and senior stakeholders
- Excellent organisational, communication, and minute-taking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- CGI (ICSA) qualification or studying towards qualification is desirable
