About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain high availability of network resources, computer workstations, and a safe, welcoming campus environment.
- Provide direct Tier 1 support for hardware and software.
- Manage the Help Desk ticketing environment.
- Coordinate daily facility operations, including routine maintenance, space planning, and vendor oversight.
- Frontline customer support focused on resolving technical issues.
- Configure and maintain campus computing infrastructure.
- Diagnose and repair problems efficiently.
- Ensure software and cable management meet company standards.
- Install all software on campus computers and ensure software licenses are valid.
- Maintain an inventory of hardware and software for insurance purposes.
- Liaise with other departments to provide technical and administrative support.
- Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of classrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Conduct routine inspections of campus premises and coordinate timely repairs.
- Manage facilities-related work orders and tickets through to resolution.
- Ensure campus compliance with health, safety, fire, and applicable regulatory standards.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post-secondary education in computers/LAN Administration.
- 1-2 years of working experience in a similar environment.
- Working knowledge of Windows Operating systems.
- Experience in supporting desktop applications, Servers, Audio Visual equipment is an asset.
- Basic understanding of building systems and general maintenance (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is an asset.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and fire regulations and best practices.
- Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing IT and facilities demands.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and furniture as required, and to be physically present on campus.
