About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for software verification and validation, including test planning, development, execution, analysis and associated documentation
Supports bug reporting and tracking and software test processes
Assists in the development of the test strategy in order to meet the release schedule
Adheres to established testing procedures
Works under general supervision
Responsible for defining test strategies, plans, procedures and reports
Responsible for writing tests, executing those tests, and reporting the results
Designs, constructs and implements manual and automated tests that thoroughly exercise the product from the perspective of the customer
Assesses system and software level requirement specifications, software design, interface design, test, and other development related documentation as needed
Assists with implementation of the enhancements, including documentation, instruction and hands-on-training of others

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical field
US Citizen with a current DoD Secret security clearance
Ability to work in dynamic environment
Self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
10+ years’ experience as a Software Test Engineer
Developing and running test automation
Experience with creating robust automated software tests
Experience with developing and managing automated testing to support Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines
Familiarity with Agile software development principles and practices
Experience creating and managing testing and user facing documentation
Experience developing comprehensive test plans, strategies, and procedures to validate software functionality and performance
Experience with API and UI driven testing
