About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the enterprise strategy for cybersecurity issue and risk management , driving measurable reductions in residual risk and ensuring critical control gaps are remediated within approved timelines.
- Shape risk-informed business decisions by providing authoritative guidance on cybersecurity risk ratings, remediation approaches, compensating controls, and risk acceptance determinations across the organization.
- Influence executive and governance outcomes through data-driven reporting, actionable risk insights, and clear visibility into emerging threats, remediation progress, and enterprise risk trends.
- Drive accountability across technology and business teams , partnering with stakeholders to accelerate issue resolution, address systemic control weaknesses, and strengthen the overall security posture of the enterprise.
- Advance the maturity and efficiency of cyber risk operations by leveraging automation, intelligent workflows, advanced analytics, and continuous process improvements that enhance oversight and decision-making.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven success leading cybersecurity risk management, information security, information technology (IT) governance, or controls programs within a large, complex, and highly regulated environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive accountability across teams without direct reporting relationships, delivering measurable risk reduction and business outcomes.
- Deep expertise in cybersecurity control frameworks, enterprise risk management practices, regulatory requirements, and control domains such as cloud security, encryption, privileged access management, network security, and vulnerability management.
- Exceptional communication and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex technical risks into clear, actionable recommendations for executive, business, and technology audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, along with experience building, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
- It's a bonus if you have Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
- Experience within the financial services, payments, or fintech industry and familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms such as Archer.
