About the role
- Directly supervise 10+ employees and exercise management authority over staffing, evaluations, and terminations
- Review and approve employee time sheets and requests for time off
- Motivate team members to meet daily, weekly, monthly and annual goals
- Conduct monthly coaching sessions based on scorecard results, phone monitoring, and floor observations
- Review, analyze and interpret reports to gauge team performance and develop collections call strategies
- Conduct team meetings and continuous training sessions
- Support development and maintenance of departmental operating procedures and ensure regulatory compliance
- Apply policies and exercise sound judgment to ensure consistency and compliance with company policies and regulatory agencies
- Handle escalated calls and disputes; maintain professional phone etiquette
- Set departmental goals and develop/maintain daily employee work schedules to meet business needs
- Run daily reports to optimize workflow efficiency and ensure service level expectations are met
- Manage and execute programs, policies, and systems to minimize delinquency and reduce losses
- Responsible for hiring, training, developing, and motivating team to maximize business opportunities
Requirements
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in a supervisory or leadership position
- Experience with consumer lending/auto financing a plus
- Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative and implement improvements
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks during fluctuating business volume
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team; provide training, coaching and feedback
- Proficient computer skills; working knowledge of internet and Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- This is an exempt level position; schedule may vary based on business need
- Ability to talk and hear to exchange accurate information
- Close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data and extensive computer use
- Position does not require travel
