Manage and execute programs, policies, and systems to minimize delinquency and reduce losses
Hire, train, develop, and motivate assigned team members to ensure business opportunities are maximized
Directly supervise 10+ employees and exercise management authority concerning staffing, performance evaluations, and terminations
Review and approve employee time sheets and requests for time off
Motivate team members and ensure individual goals are met on daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis
Conduct monthly coaching sessions based on scorecard results, phone monitoring, and side-by-side floor observations
Review, analyze and interpret reports to gauge team performance and develop collections call strategies for improvement
Conduct team meetings and continuous training sessions
Support development and maintenance of departmental operating procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies
Apply policies, procedures, and guidelines appropriately and exercise sound judgment to ensure consistency and compliance
Handle escalated calls and disputes and maintain professional phone etiquette
Set departmental goals and develop and maintain daily employee work schedules
Run daily reports to optimize workflow efficiency and ensure service level expectations are met
Requirements
Minimum of bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of two (2) years experience in a supervisory or leadership position
Experience with consumer lending/auto financing a plus
Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively set and manage multiple conflicting priorities
Ability to handle multiple tasks during constantly fluctuating business volume
Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team - provide quality training, guidance, performance coaching and feedback to assigned staff
Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of internet and standard business applications such as Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
This is an exempt level position; business need will dictate the exact work schedule
Ability to talk and hear to exchange accurate information
Close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading
The position does not require travel
