About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the support and service of GIB customers
  • Perform customer service functions necessary to support clients
  • Policy changes, new business, claims and addressing billing issues
  • Utilize multiple insurance carriers with a comprehensive understanding of their guidelines and products
  • Educate customers on policy coverage to enable informed decisions
  • Develop trusted relationships with clients through creative problem solving
  • Perform review of customer accounts to address any coverage needs
  • Cross-sell additional products offered by the Insurance Agency or the Credit Union
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Highschool graduate or equivalent
  • Must possess Property/Casualty license
  • Proficient with technology including Microsoft Office Products and interactive phone system
  • Knowledge of agency management systems, particularly AMS 360
  • Possess strong sales, customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and as a team participant
  • Tenure: 18 months as a Personal Insurance Account Manager I (Category 11) or equivalent with performance that meets or exceeds expectations is required for Personal Insurance Account Manager II (Category 10)
  • Enrollment in an insurance program, CISR, CIC or other, is preferred
  • Two years as a Personal Insurance Account Manager II (Category 10) or equivalent with performance that meets or exceeds expectations is required for Senior Personal Insurance Account Manager (Category 09)
