About the role
- Responsible for the support and service of GIB customers
- Perform customer service functions necessary to support clients to include policy changes, new business, claims and addressing billing issues.
- Utilize multiple insurance carriers with a comprehensive understanding of their guidelines and products.
- Educate customers on policy coverage to enable informed decisions.
- Develop trusted relationships with clients through creative problem solving.
- Perform review of customer accounts to address any coverage needs.
- Cross-sell additional products offered by the Insurance Agency or the Credit Union.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Highschool graduate or equivalent.
- Must possess Property/Casualty license.
- Proficient with technology including Microsoft Office Products and interactive phone system.
- Knowledge of agency management systems, particularly AMS 360.
- Possess strong sales, customer service and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and as a team participant.
- Personal Insurance Customer Service Representative experience requires six months as a Personal Insurance Customer Service Representative Trainee or equivalent.
- Personal Insurance Account Manager I requires six months as a Personal Insurance Customer Service Representative or one year in a related position within the insurance industry.
- Enrollment in an insurance program, CISR, CIC or other, is preferred.
- Senior Personal Insurance Account Manager requires two years as a Personal Insurance Account Manager II or equivalent with performance that meets or exceeds expectations.
