About the role

  • Ensuring the correct posting of new purchase requisitions
  • Assisting with the maintenance of the account assignment manual
  • Fixed asset accounting with a focus on asset additions and disposals
  • Accounts receivable accounting, including credit risk management and monitoring of outstanding receivables
  • Inventory/material accounting, including support during physical inventory counts
  • Reconciliation of payroll posting/accounts
  • Assistance with reporting to third parties and external financial audits
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Review of VAT-related matters, including posting of non-monetary value transfers (e.g., free supplies)
  • Maintaining the intercompany transaction register for transfer pricing documentation

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training, ideally as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte) or industrial clerk (Industriekaufmann/-frau), with at least 2 years of professional experience in finance/accounting and/or a completed Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Economics with practical experience (internships/traineeships/audit assistance)
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Experience with SAP or another relevant accounting software
  • Knowledge of accounting under the German Commercial Code (HGB)
  • Knowledge of tax law (VAT, corporate income tax, trade tax) and IFRS accounting is advantageous
  • Fluent German (C1) and good English (B1) required
  • Quick comprehension, high willingness to learn, and ability to work under pressure
