About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for overseeing business operations in a food manufacturing environment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met
- Delegating tasks to team members and resolving issues that arise during their shift
- Managing inventory and coordinating employee responsibilities to enhance efficiency
- Assign team members tasks to complete each shift, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Set performance metrics for team members and collaborate to ensure all metrics are met
- Resolve problems and troubleshoot issues promptly, prioritizing safety and quality without the need for management direction
- Report to the Production Manager and meet with management to review goals, metrics, and safety and quality performance
- Maintain a work environment that meets company, state, and federal safety and employment guidelines
- Ensure all team members follow safety protocols and quality control measures
- Oversee timekeeping, attendance tracking, and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Foster employee development through training and mentorship programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- HS Diploma and GED with Minimum of 5 years of directly related manufacturing experience; Engineering Degree would be a plus
- Complete understanding of food processing
- Experience Developing SOP’s and work instructions
- Strong leadership skills, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership/influencer role
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and with teams
- Knowledge of environmental, code and safety regulations on the Federal, State, and local levels
