About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead all plant operations and continuous improvement activities
  • Achieve business results through data analysis and driving continuous improvement projects
  • Ensure compliance of safety, environmental and quality guidelines, and policies
  • Set clear goals and expectations for Managers and Supervisors
  • Directly leverage and indirectly manage resources
  • Own and deliver the operational budget for functional area
  • Create plans to assist in the implementation of all capital equipment
  • Coordinate plant activities through planning with onsite and offsite resources
  • Determine staffing needs based on production schedules
  • Collaborate with commercial team and other locations to ensure meeting customer requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • 8 or more years of related experience within a food manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Understanding of TPM and similar continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with 24/7 Operations
