About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead all plant operations and continuous improvement activities
- Achieve business results through data analysis and driving continuous improvement projects
- Ensure compliance of safety, environmental and quality guidelines, and policies
- Set clear goals and expectations for Managers and Supervisors
- Directly leverage and indirectly manage resources
- Own and deliver the operational budget for functional area
- Create plans to assist in the implementation of all capital equipment
- Coordinate plant activities through planning with onsite and offsite resources
- Determine staffing needs based on production schedules
- Collaborate with commercial team and other locations to ensure meeting customer requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
- 8 or more years of related experience within a food manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Understanding of TPM and similar continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with 24/7 Operations
