About the role

  • Managing daily operations in a food manufacturing facility
  • Ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Overseeing staffing, production, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Reviewing production orders or schedules to ascertain product data
  • Planning production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products
  • Preparing operational schedules and coordinating manufacturing activities
  • Reviewing production and operating reports and resolving operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems
  • Inspecting machines and equipment
  • Developing or revising standard operational and working practices
  • Compiling, storing, and retrieving production data
  • Resolving worker grievances or submitting to Senior Production Manager or Plant Manager
  • Filling in on the floor to ensure production timelines and KPIs are achieved
  • Complying with occupational safety and health standards and food safety regulations.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety standards
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, GMP)
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement practices
