About the role
- Able to perform manual tasks including but not limited to palletizing/de-palletizing, applying labels, caps, seals and stickers by hand, dropping scoops and packing finished product into boxes (production).
- Able to operate Straddle Stacker and pallet jack.
- Provide detailed cleaning on equipment and parts to support changeovers.
- Must be able to perform daily housekeeping tasks to keep work area 6S’d (clean, organized).
- Responsible for following GMP and Food Safety/Food Defense procedures.
- Able to effectively follow written and oral instructions.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety shoes, safety glasses, lab coat, bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, and nitrile gloves and cut-resistant gloves when applicable.
- Support and abide by the company’s safety program and all safety initiatives, policies and procedures.
- Report all injuries to the Supervisor immediately.
- Ensure that work procedures are being followed in a consistent manner (Safety, Quality, GMP, MAV and HACCP).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School or GED preferred
- Team player able to work in a participative “fast paced” work environment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English is required.
- Above average attention to detail.
