About the role
- Responsible for safe day-to-day activities required to inspect the company's products and processes.
- Perform routine and complex inspection and quality activities involved in the manufacture and development of products and processes.
- Provide technical input in areas involving process inspection methods and acceptance criteria.
- Collect data for SPC applications.
- Learn and develop hands-on proficiency with composite inspection processes utilized by the company.
- Follow written and verbal instructions, engineering drawings or sketches.
- Participate in the operation of and compliance with all safety, hazardous material handling and disposal requirements.
- Perform Process and product audits.
- Prepare inspection reports, document observations such as non-conformances.
- Communicate ideas, problems and suggestions to supervisory authority.
- Maintain a clean work environment in compliance with all regulations.
- Comply with Human Resources policies.
- Fully comply with the Company 'Policy Statement on Contracting with the United States Government'.
- Perform other assignments and tasks as directed.
Requirements
- MUST BE U.S Citizen.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hands-on operational quality inspection.
- Working knowledge of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions.
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
- Must be able to perform visual inspection of product in a production environment.
- Basic computer skills including Office, and specialized accounting and manufacturing software (SAP).
- Ability to recognize discrepancies on materials or processes.
- Willing to work as a team player as well as independently.
- Subject to complete vision exam per requirements of National Aerospace Standards (NAS) 410.
- U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements.
- Preferred: BS degree in engineering or related discipline.
- Preferred: DQR Certification.
- Preferred: 5 years of hands-on quality inspection experience.
