About the role

  • Development, optimization and industrialization of manufacturing processes for CFRP/GRP components, considering cost, quality and lead time
  • Application of structured problem-solving methods such as 8D reports, root cause analysis and Ishikawa diagrams for troubleshooting and process improvement
  • Execution of Process FMEA (PFMEA) to identify and mitigate risks in new and existing manufacturing processes
  • Implementation and application of Six Sigma methods for process analysis and quality improvement
  • Introduction and continuous application of Lean Manufacturing principles to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Support in the selection and integration of new manufacturing technologies (e.g. automation, robotics, digital manufacturing)
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, work instructions and process descriptions
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (design, quality, procurement, suppliers) to ensure manufacturability
  • Support of suppliers regarding manufacturing processes, process validation and technical audits
  • Assistance in the planning and implementation of capital projects and production relocations
  • Training and supporting production personnel on new processes and technologies

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering)
  • Several years of professional experience in the manufacturing of fiber-reinforced composite materials, preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Solid knowledge of prepreg, RTM, infusion or autoclave processes
  • Experience with APQP, PFMEA, 8D, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Proficient use of CAD/CAM systems and production planning tools
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g. EN9100, ISO9001)
  • Strong analytical skills, structured working style and high problem-solving capability
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary project teams
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
