Engineer

• Support a strategic initiative to establish a cutting-edge additive and fabrication manufacturing process at our Newington facility.
• Blend Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering responsibilities including shop floor activities and structured engineering tasks.
• Develop work instructions, specify and source equipment, support layout design.
• Drive industrialization through the MRL process.
• Partner with internal team members and external contractors on project initiatives.
• Specify, source, and drive installation/commissioning of new equipment.
• Develop shop floor layouts and technical work instructions using NX CAD and authoring tools.
• Follow up with project team members to ensure timely execution of actions.
• Support industrialization and NPI activities with compliance to aerospace standards: AS9145, AS9100, NADCAP.
• Responsible for technical support of manufacturing development and integration for production.
• Focal point for special processes including Heat Treatment, Additive Manufacturing and Welding 1st line manufacturing process support.
• Ensure compliance to Specifications.
• Training and Certification of operators.
• Continuous improvement and ensure capable manufacturing processes using SPC, error-proofing, and risk reduction.
• Apply root cause analysis and corrective actions to eliminate non-conformances.
• Identify and reduce risks, implement error proofing techniques.
