About the role
- Build and maintain HubSpot CMS themes, templates, and custom modules using HubL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for websites, blogs, emails, and landing pages.
- Convert wireframes/designs into responsive, accessible HubSpot theme pages and reusable components.
- Implement technical SEO foundations: semantic HTML, clean URL structures, proper heading hierarchy, meta tags, canonical tags, robots directives, and Open Graph/Twitter meta.
- Optimize Core Web Vitals and performance: minify and defer assets, image optimization (responsive images, WebP), reduce render-blocking resources, and lazy-load media.
- Implement and optimize HubSpot CMS features, performance, and cross-browser/device rendering; troubleshoot bugs and glitches.
- Configure and maintain HubSpot assets (forms, blogs, landing pages) and support content editors with scalable, easy-to-edit solutions.
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and stakeholders in fluent English to align requirements, branding, and user experience.
- Use local dev tools, version control, and debugging tools; keep assets high-performing and reliable.
- Optional: design HubSpot workflows and light CRM configurations aligned to front-end/data needs if experienced.
- All responsibilities and deliverables are HubSpot-focused, including HubSpot CMS, HubL/HubDB, HubSpot SEO tools, and related HubSpot ecosystem integrations and workflows.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2–3 years of professional front-end experience with HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript, responsive design, and debugging.
- HubSpot CMS development with HubL and HubDB; experience creating custom modules and templates.
- Fluency in English: ability to speak, write, and listen effectively for remote teamwork, documentation, and client communication.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating HubSpot with other systems is a plus.
- Version control (e.g., Git) and comfort with command line/local development workflows.
- HubSpot CMS certification or completion of HubSpot Academy CMS for Developers coursework (nice to have).
- Experience with CRM objects, data structure awareness, and basic workflow automation within HubSpot (nice to have).
- Awareness of accessibility, performance, and component-driven development (design systems mindset).
- Portfolio or examples of HubSpot-based pages/emails/modules showing code quality and maintainability.
