About the role
- Lead key elements of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close
- Oversee revenue recognition
- Create error-free periodic reports
- Maintain integrity of the general ledger
- Ensure expenditures comply with donor requirements
- Document and update financial policies
- Manage the annual financial statement audit
- Support preparation of consolidated financial statements
- Manage and support accounting staff
Requirements
- 7 - 10 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the non-profit sector
- Strong analytical thinking
- Superb understanding of U.S. GAAP and Uniform Guidance
- Professional qualification (ACCA or CPA) preferred
- Professionally proficient in English.
- Strong command of US GAAP
- Experience with multi-country / multi-entity accounting
- Experience working in audit environments and managing external auditors
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong time management skills
- Strong spreadsheet skills
