About the role
- Implement and sustain most efficient operations standards for safety, health and environmental protection, manufacturing and supply chain, product quality, food safety and quality management systems, utilities and resource use, as applicable.
- Participate in short- and long-term site planning, determine basic operating policies, establish projects and tasks, and will be a member of the Americas Natural Ingredients Operations Leadership Team.

- Drive Operations Strategy
- Develop and execute: Site master plan 5-10 years site development plan
- Develop budget and annual tactical planning with leadership team and stakeholders, based on Regional Operations and business strategy
- Drive Operations Excellence
- Implement programs and drives continuous improvement to achieve key performance goals and to reduce cost/kg
- Define / implement operations procedures defined by Taste & Wellbeing best practices
- Communicate with the commercial leads and other regional peers to ensure understanding of commercial and regional / site operations strategies and programs (e.g. S&OP)
- Ensure repair of assets under responsibility to sustain the asset performance and reliability
- Ensure in-budget and in-quality implementation of all approved CAPEX projects, following regional and global Engineering plans / practices
- Promote safety, service, quality and cost (including inventory management) to the best levels
- Drive People Management
- Create an environment for high performance, including building a team, promoting engagement and inspiring the team for excellence
- Manage and enrich talent pool, including performance management, individual development and succession plan, career mapping and gap analysis
- Drive Key Projects
- Align with the Americas Natural Ingredients vision and roll out projects
- Promote management of culture change through the deployment of continuous improvement(LEAN) programs at the site
- Support implementation of Supply Chain and Manufacturing Excellence program
Requirements
- University degree in food, chemical, science, engineering or economics
- 10 + years of related experience of which min. 3 years in an equivalent leadership position
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing / Supply Chain processes with knowledge of chemical or food processing, manufacturing system and supply chain management (in consumer goods industry)
- Understanding of accounting, budgeting, capital justification and ability to comprehend standardized reports
- Understanding of ISO, FSCC, Food Safety (HACCP, AIB or equivalent), GHP and GMP requirements, EHS.
