About the role

  • Support US customers as a Solutions Architect reporting to VP of Revenue to transform developer workflows and productivity using Gitpod.
  • Drive automation of development practices through the product to ensure technical success from proof of value through renewal and expansion.
  • Collaborate hands-on with engineering teams to architect and implement solutions.
  • Own end-to-end technical success of enterprise customers in post-sales, from proof of value through renewal and expansion.
  • Design and implement optimal Gitpod environments and provide hands-on technical coaching to drive success.
  • Deeply understand customer workflows and developer experience initiatives.
  • Improve onboarding efficiency through tooling development and product feedback.
  • Develop repeatability through documentation, resources, programs, and workshops to drive enterprise customer success at scale.
  • First 30 days: understand product and problems it solves, grasp onboarding methodology, build relationships with GTM and Product Engineering, take ownership of account portfolio, and share process feedback.

Requirements

  • You're a seasoned technologist: understand basics of computer science, software development, developer tools, containerization, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Solutions oriented with ability to read the manual, identify problems, and drive meaningful next steps.
  • Customer-focused: take full responsibility for customer success and resolve frustrations and pain points.
  • Product evangelist: understand customer pain and product potential; collaborate internally to champion improvements.
  • Significant experience and impressive outcomes in a technical, customer-facing role driving success within large enterprises from regulated industries up to the F500.
  • Direct experience working with technical personas (Developers, Architects, Security).
  • Expertise in platform engineering and developer productivity practices.
  • Familiarity across a wide range of frameworks and tools that make up the SDLC at an enterprise company (SCM, IDE, DBs, Infra, etc).
  • In-depth cloud experience: AWS (preferred), Azure, and/or GCP.
  • High-growth, early stage startup experience.
  • Willingness to travel to customers as needed.
  • Familiarity with Pylon, Linear, SFDC, Gong.
