About the role
- Meet or exceed quota while fostering strong customer relationships
- Articulate the value of GitLab to Mid Market prospects and customers
- Act as the CEO for the book of business in your territory: document buying criteria and process, build pipeline, prospect and close new business, ensure adoption and avoid churn, collaborate with partners, create accurate quarterly forecasts, and drive event attendance
- Contribute to root cause analyses on wins and losses and communicate lessons to the team
- Contribute to documenting improvements in the sales handbook
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Customer Success, Renewals, Sales Development) to provide account leadership in pre- and post-sales processes
- Be the voice of the customer by contributing product ideas to the public issue tracker
- Master MEDPICC and Command of the Message on all opportunities
Requirements
- Proven sales track record of Enterprise Sales, selling to Financial Services clients
- Experience selling similar types of software and SaaS solutions
- Demonstrated progressive experience with Software sales through pitching on value
- Track record of breaking into new accounts
- Ability to leverage established relationships and proven sales techniques for success
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Motivated, driven, and results-oriented
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
- Preferred experience with Git, Software Development Tools, Application Lifecycle Management
- Ability to travel regularly to meet with customers in person and comply with company travel policy
- Master MEDPICC and Command of the Message on all opportunities
