About the role

  • Contribute to and execute the strategic vision that drives service delivery for GitLab's Professional Services Organization
  • Lead and scale a global services business, managing a team of 70+ engagement managers, architects, and engineers
  • Manage the professional services P&L including budgeting, forecasting, financial performance tracking, and resource optimization
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients; serve as executive sponsor and senior escalation point
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to align service delivery with company strategy
  • Ensure excellence in execution of best practices, standards, and methodologies for service delivery while focusing on metrics and KPIs
  • Drive service attach rates globally, innovate service offerings, and mature partner ecosystems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated experience building, growing, and scaling global services businesses with 70+ team members, delivering to bookings, revenue, and margin targets in fast-paced, subscription-based environments
  • Deep expertise in software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L responsibility, budgets, forecasts, and bookings/revenue acceleration strategies
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership abilities with proven experience influencing executive and senior management, customers, and partners
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with ability to serve as evangelist for customers and build consensus across senior executives
  • Demonstrated progressive experience with subscription-based business models, delivering both on-premises and SaaS solutions
  • Ability to use GitLab platform effectively and serve as expert in Professional Services internally and externally
