About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure Girl Scouts of West Central Florida’s camp properties are safe, well-maintained, and welcoming.
- Perform routine, preventative, and restorative maintenance across two camps.
- Conduct regular site tours and monitor for weather damage.
- Facilitate inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Perform general repairs including painting, plumbing, electrical work, and road maintenance.
- Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Support camp operations and guest experience.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum five years' experience in general property maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, painting, and grounds upkeep.
- Availability to work a general schedule of four 10-hour workdays, generally Monday through Thursday, with occasional weekend work required.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate volunteers toward shared goals.
- Enthusiasm for welcoming members and guests to camp.
- Strong pride in personal and team achievement.
- Motivation to advance the Girl Scout mission.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Spanish language skills a plus.
- Reliable personal transportation, valid driver's license, safe driving record, and proof of insurance (CDL preferred).
- Ability to pass a "Fitness to Work" physical evaluation.
- Physical capability to lift at least 40 pounds, walk, bend, stoop, sit, and work outdoors in varying weather.
