Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive membership growth by building strong community relationships
  • Develop strategic partnerships and generate qualified leads
  • Convert prospective girls and volunteers into active Girl Scout members
  • Develop local networks and identify opportunities for growth
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure a seamless path into Girl Scouts
  • Execute territory-based growth strategies using demographic data and market trends
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, municipalities, libraries, businesses, and cultural organizations
  • Represent Girl Scouts at community meetings and recruitment events
  • Generate and manage prospective leads ensuring effective conversion

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
  • Experience in sales, business development, recruitment, partnership development, community outreach or account management preferred
  • Knowledge of Girl Scout policies and procedures preferred
  • Proficiency in a second language is preferred (Spanish and/or Korean are highly valued)
  • Demonstrated success building relationships with diverse communities and community partners
  • Strong organizational, written, verbal and active listening skills
  • Exceptional relationship-building, networking and presentation skills with the confidence to engage audiences of varying sizes
  • Ability to identify market opportunities, analyze data and translate insights into effective growth strategies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and effectively utilize Salesforce for lead management and reporting
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds
  • Membership in GSUSA is required upon employment and annually thereafter
  • Ability to work primarily within the assigned territory with limited office time
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and automobile insurance
