About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver Girl Scout Community Outreach Program opportunities to girls within a specified area.
- Ensure all GSLE registration paperwork is accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping systems for membership data, program evaluation metrics, and budgets.
- Establish and execute plans under leadership direction to achieve recruitment, re-engagement, and membership development goals.
- Promote and support Council fundraising efforts, including mobilizing participation in the Fall Product and Annual Cookie Sale programs.
- Market program activities and cultivate strong partnerships with community leaders, institutions, business organizations, and volunteers.
- Partner with Membership Directors/Coordinators to transition outreach participants into traditional troops or sustainable program options.
- Ensure completion and timely submission of participant post-assessment surveys and outcome measurements for grant reporting.
- Report on progress toward goals and adjust outreach strategies as needed or directed.
- Actively support council diversity and affirmative action commitments by ensuring equal access and recruitment across all racial/ethnic groups.
- Serve as a professional council representative through positive modeling, problem-solving, and ongoing support for school and community personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent required (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred); bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Strong commitment to the mission and goals of Girl Scouting; willingness to become a GSUSA member.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse volunteers and community partners to build strong leadership teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (including nights and weekends) with regional travel required; must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and NC state registration/inspection compliance.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain a Girl Scout Membership upon hire.
