About the role

  • Own end-to-end IT security and compliance across the organization.
  • Build, maintain, secure, and monitor corporate endpoints, ensuring secure configuration, availability, and compliance.
  • Lead system administration in a Microsoft 365 environment, including IAM, SSO, MFA, endpoint security, and user lifecycle management.
  • Act as the technical owner of the Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring M365 services align with company security policies.
  • Define, implement, and enforce IT security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Manage IT hardware, software, and SaaS tools, including procurement, inventory, and license compliance.
  • Handle installation, configuration, and secure disposal of user devices in line with onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Provide internal IT support to corporate end users (remote-first environment).
  • Implement security monitoring, logging, risk and vulnerability management, and incident response processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security-by-design into infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proactively identify risks and implement pragmatic, startup-friendly mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in IT security, system administration, cloud operations, or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows devices and Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Purview, and SharePoint.
  • Solid security and analytical mindset.
  • Experience with ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2 in a SaaS or technology environment.
  • Experience with Linux system administration and cloud servers is a plus.
  • Automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of security fundamentals such as access control, encryption, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Experience managing IT hardware, endpoints, SaaS tools, and licenses.
  • Ability to translate compliance requirements into clear, practical processes.
  • Comfortable working independently while supporting a distributed team.
  • Strong communication skills in English and a hands-on mindset suited to a fast-growing startup.
