About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Raise brand and product awareness of Gildan’s suite of products by promoting the Gildan Advantage to distributor sales representatives and their customer base
  • Provide recommendations and guidance to management based on analysis of distributors, competitors, and the apparel industry
  • Train distributor sales teams and top customers on the Gildan Advantage
  • Prepare content for customer-facing events and training sessions
  • Develop relationships with distributor sales teams and key customers
  • Analyze and process customer feedback
  • Represent Gildan at trade shows, open houses, sales meetings, virtual meetings, and supplier panels
  • Implement corporate and distributor Gildan brand marketing campaigns
  • Liaise between Gildan key account executives, distributor sales teams, and Gildan marketing
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop product marketing strategies
  • Research and analyze market intelligence through end-user calls
  • Analyze brand strengths, target markets, and target customers to guide future progress
  • Travel approximately 40% within the territory, largely to nearby states

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University Degree
  • 5–7 years of experience in apparel buying, apparel merchandising and design, or apparel sales with corporate retail or printwear experience preferred
  • Passion for apparel and enjoyment of presenting to customers
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40% within the territory
  • Ability to analyze distributor, competitor, and general industry markets
  • Ability to train distributor sales teams and key customers
  • Ability to develop customer-facing event and training content
  • Ability to implement brand marketing campaigns
  • Ability to conduct end-user calls and market intelligence research
