About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own integrations in both directions between customer source systems, Gigawatt, and external platforms
Design and build outbound connectors and APIs, including GraphQL, batch, webhooks/hooks, Kafka, and event streams
Define and evolve a reusable connector framework and portable integration patterns
Personally design, build, and harden Boomi processes, Kafka/GoldenGate CDC, REST and GraphQL, batch, and event APIs
Own source-to-target and target-to-source data mapping and establish data validation
Implement triggers, handshakes, monitoring, alerting, reconciliation, and exception handling
Onboard integrations to utility systems including CIS/billing, meter data and MDM, outage, and clearinghouse systems
Remove cross-module integration blockers and sequence connector work against the roadmap
Partner with Engineering, Product, and customer enterprise-integration teams on interfaces, access, testing, and platform priorities
Hire and mentor integration engineers and build scalable standards and reusable assets
Deliver a reusable connector/API framework, reliable outbound flows, stable inbound integrations, automated two-way feeds, and a capable integration team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on experience designing and building enterprise integrations that ingest from and publish to external systems
Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, webhooks and events, batch, change-data-capture, and ETL
Ability to personally build integrations rather than only direct them
Track record designing reusable connectors and APIs consumed by other systems and platforms
Command of Boomi or a comparable iPaaS, Kafka/Confluent, CDC such as GoldenGate, and strong SQL
Experience with production integration reliability, including triggers, handshakes, monitoring, alerting, reconciliation, and exception handling
Experience integrating complex enterprise or utility systems, including customer/billing, meter/interval usage, MDM, and outage systems
Ability to reason about data models and master data
Player-coach leadership experience setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and growing a small team while remaining hands-on
Consulting, systems-integration, or vendor-side experience delivering integrations for demanding enterprise customers
Communication skills for working directly with customer integration teams
Strong ownership, problem diagnosis, option generation, execution, cooperation, and comfort with ambiguity
Nice to have: Oracle CC&B/CCS, MV90, MDM/head-end, OMS, clearinghouse, EDI, retail-choice/market flows, event-driven architecture, GraphQL platform APIs, entity/data-model design, downstream data/analytics/regulatory outputs, or experience establishing an integration practice
