About the role
- Get to know our IT system landscape, cloud platforms, and internal processes
- Support daily IT operations and take on initial user support tasks
- Monitor performance of our core systems and report irregularities to management
- Provide first-level support for colleagues — e.g. password resets, login issues, or access requests
- Assist in diagnosing hardware, software, and network issues
- Maintain and manage user accounts (creation, modification, deactivation) across our systems and applications
- Keep an eye on potential security incidents and report suspicious access attempts
- Document system configurations, processes, and incidents in a structured manner
- Track recurring problems and propose improvement suggestions
- Help create simple technical guides for end users
- Assist new employees with workstation, printer, or mobile device setup
- Participate in smaller IT projects as needed, e.g. network upgrades or migrations
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in (business) informatics, information engineering, or a related field
- Some practical experience in IT support, helpdesk, or system administration is desirable
- Basic understanding of networking, IT security, and cloud environments (e.g. Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Enjoy helping colleagues with technical questions
- Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
- Option to work from home or from our attractive Berlin office near the main train station
