About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the federated model for the electrical scope, including substations, switchgear, cable tray and busway, conduit, and raceway
  • Build and maintain federated Revit and Navisworks models for electrical infrastructure
  • Model projects from concept LOD 200/300 through fabrication-ready LOD 400 shop release
  • Reconcile MCAD equipment geometry from Inventor, SolidWorks, and STEP into Revit families and IFC content
  • Run Navisworks clash tests, triage issues by root cause, and track clashes to closure
  • Publish clash and coordination reports and participate in coordination review meetings
  • Build and enforce BIM standards, templates, worksets, shared parameters, naming conventions, and view templates
  • Maintain the parametric family library for recurring electrical equipment
  • Generate coordination drawings, general arrangements, and model-derived quantity takeoffs for procurement and estimating
  • Maintain model health through purging, auditing, worksharing hygiene, and file-size discipline
  • Collaborate with electrical, structural, and civil designers through design, fabrication, and field support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of professional BIM modeling experience, including at least 3 years coordinating federated multi-discipline models
  • Expert-level Autodesk Revit proficiency, including family creation, parametric content, worksharing, and template configuration
  • Demonstrated ownership of Navisworks Manage clash detection, including test matrices, batch tests, and issue resolution
  • Direct experience with electrical power infrastructure such as substations, switchgear, transformers, or high-capacity power distribution
  • Working fluency in NEC / NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, IEEE / ANSI C57, UL 891, and NEMA enclosure standards
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams, schematics, and structural steel drawings
  • Track record of independently running a multi-discipline coordination process
  • Bonus: experience with data centers, mission-critical or complex industrial facilities
  • Bonus: modular, skid-mounted, e-house, or prefabricated equipment experience
  • Bonus: ISO 19650 information management and BIM Execution Plan authorship
  • Bonus: 4D construction sequencing using Navisworks TimeLiner or Synchro
  • Bonus: OEM or manufacturing environment experience
