About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own everything below grade and outside the building line in the federated model, including foundations, equipment pads, electrical duct banks, underground raceway, grounding, and equipment yard layout
  • Model foundations, equipment pads, embeds, and anchor bolt setting plans for heavy electrical equipment
  • Model electrical duct banks and underground raceway, including conduit arrangement, encasement, bend radii, spare capacity, manholes, and pull boxes
  • Model grounding systems, outdoor structures, and equipment yard layouts
  • Reconcile Civil 3D surfaces, utility networks, and survey data into the federated model using shared coordinates and georeferencing
  • Own outdoor and underground models and run underground clash cycles, resolving conflicts
  • Produce foundation, duct bank, grounding, and yard layout drawings to CAD standards
  • Generate model-based quantity takeoffs for concrete, reinforcement, steel, and conduit
  • Build and maintain a parametric family library for repeatable outdoor and underground content
  • Collaborate with electrical, structural, and civil designers to maintain the federated model as the single source of truth from design through fabrication and field support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Expert-level Autodesk Revit proficiency with 5–8 years of experience, including structural modeling, family creation, parametric content, worksharing, and shared coordinates
  • Demonstrated experience modeling foundations, equipment pads, and anchor bolt or embed layouts for heavy equipment
  • Demonstrated experience modeling underground electrical raceway or duct banks, including routing, encasement, spare capacity, manholes, and pull boxes
  • Industrial, energy, substation, or mission-critical background; commercial or residential Revit experience alone will not transfer to this scope
  • Ability to read, link, and reconcile Civil 3D data, including surfaces, pipe networks, alignments, and survey points, into a Revit model
  • Working knowledge of NEC Article 300.5, NESC / IEEE 605, IEEE 80, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC 360
  • Navisworks proficiency, including running clash tests and resolving interference in own models
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
