About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Evidence Collection and Preservation: conduct forensic acquisition (imaging) of media and devices (HDD/SSD/SATA, Windows, Linux, mobile, cloud), ensuring integrity (hashing), sealing and detailed chain-of-custody documentation.
In-Depth Technical Analysis: examine file systems, OS artifacts, logs, memory, mobile devices and cloud environments; correlate events and reconstruct incident timelines.
Preparation of Expert Reports and Executive Summaries: produce clear, objective and well-founded technical expert reports and executive reports, including methodology, evidence, findings, limitations and conclusions.
Compliance and Best Practices: operate in accordance with applicable standards, procedures and legal requirements, ensuring impartiality, reproducibility and confidentiality.
Laboratory and Tool Management: operate and maintain forensic tools (e.g., analysis suites, extraction and parsing utilities), secure evidence storage infrastructure and disposal policies.
Support for Investigations and Audits: collaborate with Legal, GRC, Information Security and HR on internal investigations and disciplinary processes; participate in technical meetings and executive briefings.
Expert Testimony (when applicable): act as an expert or technical assistant, presenting methodology and findings in a manner accessible to non-technical audiences.
Continuous Improvement: develop and update procedures, methodologies and playbooks, deliver trainings and promote lessons learned after cases.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong knowledge of digital forensic techniques for traditional media (HDD, SSD, SATA)
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, including analysis of artifacts, file systems and logs
Experience in mobile device forensics (Android / iOS)
Knowledge of cloud forensics (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Experience with analysis, correlation and reconstruction of events using logs
Familiarity with chain of custody, hashing, evidence documentation and forensic best practices
Ability to produce clear, impartial and methodologically consistent technical reports and expert opinions
Prior experience in Incident Response or Offensive/Defensive Security teams
Certifications in Digital Forensics or Information Security: EnCE, ACE, AXIOM, GCFA, GCFE, GCIH, CCO, CCPA, CISSP
Experience as an expert witness, technical assistant or participation in legal proceedings
Experience with specialized tools (e.g.: EnCase, FTK, Magnet AXIOM, Cellebrite, Volatility, Autopsy)
