About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and define project goals, scope, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage project documentation, including statements of work, meeting minutes, and project plans.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of projects and products, ensuring all objectives are met to customer quality standards.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting, ensuring projects are completed within the approved budget.
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements that support “Right First Time” outcomes, driving continuous improvement for yourself and the team.
  • Create comprehensive project plans to be shared with customers and other staff members.
  • Monitor and review staffing needs with department managers to optimise project delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, manage expectations, and ensure all approvals and sign-offs are secured at each milestone.
  • Direct and coordinate resources to meet project deliverables, proactively escalating issues and negotiating changes as needed.
  • Support and implement Agile practices to enhance project execution and departmental performance.
  • Ensure adherence to G+D’s OH&S, Security, Quality, and Environmental standards.
  • Provide clear, timely updates on project costs, progress, milestones, risks, and outcomes. Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Work cross-functionally to design and deliver solutions, leveraging internal and external expertise for the full product portfolio.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Formal Engineering qualification, Computer Science, or related fields and certification in Project Management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, Agile, PMP).
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, lead teams, and deliver results in a cross-matrix environment.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar or the same role.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, planning, and the payment ecosystem (including EMV).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present project status to customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task, analyse issues, and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Skilled in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, and project management platforms.
  • Strong organisational, team-building, and delegation skills.
