About the role
- Support production teams in meeting quality KPIs and compliance requirements.
- Provide day-to-day support to Quality Technicians and Inspectors.
- Assist in training operators and inspectors on quality standards and best practices.
- Participate in product and process audits, including first article and in-process inspections.
- Collect and analyze quality and production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction and process stability.
- Assist with incoming material inspections, product testing, and R&D lab activities.
- Execute and support manual and automated testing, including Dirac testing.
- Document and track nonconformances, customer complaints, and supplier issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new processes, equipment launches, and control plans.
- Develop knowledge of the company’s products, processes, and quality systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and/or a combination of college education and Engineering experience totaling 3 years.
- Must be proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general engineering software solutions.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms.
- Experience with inventory control programs.
- Strong practical skills within a Lean manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Passionate about Lean Manufacturing and the attainment of key initiatives.
- Strong data driven process and system methodologies.
- Ability to hold self and others accountable.
- Enjoys plant level, hands-on involvement in the improvement process.
- Willing to roll up sleeves and spend time in the manufacturing plant.
- Willingness to travel on occasion as needed.
- Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment.
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
- Requires normal color perception.
