About the role

  • You serve as the central point of contact, designer and coordinator for the implementation of engineering projects in the field of security document printing.
  • You proactively participate in order clarification in the pre-contract phase and provide advisory support to customers as well as colleagues in our branch offices.
  • You advise customers on a global level in the area of security printing, including all associated components and peripheral equipment — thereby making a key contribution to technical proposal preparation.
  • On a project basis you take responsibility for technical clarification and detailed coordination with our customers and suppliers as well as internal interfaces.
  • In coordination with our global branches, you hand orders over to execution and are responsible for the timely planning of all required activities from ordering through installation to system acceptance.
  • Through close alignment with internal interfaces you ensure smooth project execution and gain industry-specific know-how.
  • You support other areas within the Cash Life Cycle Solutions department with your skills and expertise, for example in paper production or banknote destruction.

Requirements

  • You hold a completed technical degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, printing and media technology, paper technology, paper and process engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Ideally, in addition to your expertise in printing and plant engineering, you have a business qualification such as an MBA or equivalent.
  • You have several years of relevant experience in printing plant engineering and have managed and implemented multiple projects in this field.
  • You possess excellent knowledge of customer and process management, project management and analysis, as well as KPI reporting, and have demonstrated these skills in projects — ideally in an international environment.
  • Solid knowledge of project execution in a B2B environment, the stakeholders in plant and machinery engineering, business development and/or product management is an advantage.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of processes, the corresponding machinery and products in security printing, such as postage stamps, revenue stamps, checks or other official documents.
  • Knowledge of G+D Currency Technology is also desirable, particularly in the areas of banknotes, banknote printing, security paper and the requirements of central bank and printing-house customers.
  • You apply an entrepreneurial approach and demonstrate decisiveness, pragmatic problem-solving and strong execution skills.
  • You are highly self-motivated, seek responsibility and possess strong analytical and assertive capabilities.
  • Ideally you have several years of international experience and excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken; additional languages, particularly French or Arabic, are an advantage.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, SAP and 2D/3D design software, ideally AutoCAD, completes your profile.
