About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and continuously improve learning content, assessments, and facilitator materials
- Facilitate engaging learning experiences that build capability, strengthen role readiness, and support adoption of business priorities
- Conduct learning and talent development consultations and needs analyses
- Recommend learning approaches aligned with business objectives and learner needs
- Coordinate assigned projects for timely and effective delivery
- Create and maintain onboarding resources, career development tools, competency-based resources, and manager guides
- Implement learning technologies, digital learning solutions, and AI-enabled tools
- Analyze learner feedback to inform training improvements and provide recommendations
- Support employees, leaders, and business partners across Canada
- Lead in-person training programs at the Ottawa Home Office, stores, and Johnstown Distribution Centre as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 to 3 years of experience in Learning & Talent Development
- Post-secondary education in Education, Adult Education, Educational Studies, Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field
- Equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered
- Professional-level proficiency in both English and French
- Experience creating, updating, and implementing learning content, tools, job aids, facilitator materials, eLearning, assessments, learner communications, and performance support resources
- Experience supporting assigned learning programs or projects, including SME reviews, content testing, learner communications, launch readiness, and post-launch improvements
- Experience gathering learning needs and content requirements from internal stakeholders, SMEs, or business partners
- Experience facilitating training sessions, learner support activities, stakeholder reviews, or program activities
- Working knowledge of adult learning principles, learner experience, instructional design practices, and learning evaluation basics
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills
- Ability to organize work, solve problems, manage deliverables, and meet timelines across multiple projects
- Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and learning/content/reporting/AI-enabled tools
- Ability to maintain content accuracy, follow standards, and handle confidential or sensitive information discreetly
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and maintain authorization for the duration of employment
- Workday Learning, Articulate 360, Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or similar tools are assets
- Retail operations experience, vendor experience, reporting experience, certifications, accessibility knowledge, and generative AI experience are assets
