About the role
- Own the school’s budgeting process and lead the annual budgeting process.
- Manage financial planning and ongoing budget management across departments.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for leadership.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to support decision-making across academic, administrative, and operational teams.
- Implement and maintain best practices in financial controls, reporting, and compliance.
- Translate financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Partner with department heads to develop, monitor, and manage budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, budgeting, or accounting (experience in education or non-profit sector a plus).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and present financial information to non-financial audiences.
- Proficiency with Excel, budgeting tools, and financial software.
