About the role
- Lead and coordinate the ERP system implementation from an accounting and operational perspective, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance.
- Partner with IT, operations, and finance teams to define process workflows, system requirements, and reporting capabilities.
- Oversee operational accounting activities including inventory, cost accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and internal controls across accounting functions.
- Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
- Train accounting and operations staff on ERP functionality, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to enhance business visibility.
- Participate in special projects, audits, and cross-departmental initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including operational accounting and ERP project involvement.
- Proven experience in ERP implementation or system conversion (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar).
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing processes.
- Advanced Excel and data analytics skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a process-oriented mindset.
