About the role
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting team, including general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
- Lead the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with operations and cost accounting teams to support inventory management, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and professional growth.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
