Oversee all financial functions, including GAAP financial reporting, month-end/year-end closings, audit preparation, tax filings (e.g., 990s), and external reporting.
Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, fund management, and investment accounting. Act as liaison to insurance companies and investment consultants.
Partner with the VP of Administration and Finance to support treasury activities, including cash management and investment reporting.
Prepare materials for Board Committees (Audit, Finance, Investment).
Oversee departmental and institutional budgets.
Serve as fiduciary and voting member of the University’s Retirement Plans Committee.
Requirements
BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
5–10 years of progressive experience in financial management, reporting, and fund accounting. Controller-level experience highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, non-profit accounting, financial systems, and reporting tools. Experience with Colleague/Prophix and ADP a plus.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with diverse teams across multiple departments.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
