About the role

  • You will learn how to prepare and follow up surgeries and how to set up and handle surgical instrument trays (instrumentation).
  • You will learn how to organize workflows and monitor hygiene and infection-prevention measures in the operating theatre.
  • You will learn how to carry out administrative tasks related to OR documentation.

Requirements

  • At least a Realschule secondary-school diploma or an equivalent school-leaving qualification
  • Ideally completed an internship in the operating room
  • Must be at least 17 years old at the start of the apprenticeship
  • Minimum German language level: B2
