About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Track timelines, reporting obligations, and submission deadlines for federal and state programs, including EPA Renewable Fuel Standard and Clean Fuel Regulations
  • Coordinate monthly generation, tracking, and transaction logistics of RINs and biogas tokens within registries such as EMTS
  • Manage quarterly QAP administrative workflows, including external provider invoice tracking and processing
  • Coordinate documentation, scheduling, and logistics for third-party engineering reviews and annual verification/attestation cycles
  • Organize applications and maintain compliance registrations for new environmental markets, including CFR, 45Z tax credits, and international frameworks
  • Monitor regulatory updates and EPA rule changes and adjust internal tracking and reporting procedures
  • Translate technical, operational, and regulatory data into actionable guidelines and risk assessments
  • Coordinate landfill gas specialists, site operators, and engineering teams to ensure compliance data flows smoothly
  • Align day-to-day field operations with regulatory reporting deadlines
  • Support commercial and executive leadership with market research, presentation development, and strategic communications regarding environmental credits and RINs
  • Maintain internal tracking systems for credit portfolio deliverables, compliance documentation, and project milestones

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Post-secondary degree in Environmental Policy or a related analytical field
  • 2+ years of professional experience within renewable energy, waste management, or LFG sectors
  • Demonstrable understanding of RNG commercialization or project development
  • Exposure to or foundational familiarity with RFS, RINs, EMTS, QAP, and CFR frameworks
  • Proven experience managing multiple project timelines, tracking compliance documentation, and overseeing final deliverable submissions
  • Exceptional interpersonal and technical writing capabilities
  • Ability to synthesize technical details into clear executive or operational summaries
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
