About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Spearhead the Industrial Services Team and report directly to the Director of Operations
  • Ensure Health and Safety remains the top priority by adhering to company policies and safe work practices
  • Manage union and non-union direct reports, monitor daily activities, delegate duties, and provide ongoing coaching
  • Spend significant time in the field to ensure customer satisfaction, professional standards, and safe job execution
  • Perform job site walks to verify adequate labor, equipment, and material resources
  • Maintain assets according to preventive maintenance schedules and maintain accurate inventory controls
  • Assist with annual budget preparation, re-forecasting updates, and regular P&L reviews
  • Optimize equipment utilization, labor efficiency, and material costs
  • Help develop job bids, project costing, and statements for client review
  • Coordinate resources, major project scopes, and turnarounds with HSE, administrative, and shutdown planning teams
  • Build customer relationships through updates, troubleshooting, and follow-up meetings
  • Identify potential new clients and expansion opportunities
  • Oversee pre-job mobilization and demobilization
  • Ensure daily operational documentation is clear, concise, and complete
  • Report work-related accidents or incidents and participate in incident investigations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership or project management experience in Industrial Cleaning or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with high-pressure water jetting tools strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of oil, gas, and pulp mill process facilities and applicable cleaning methodologies
  • Existing strong customer relationships within the industry
  • Ability to supervise execution plans, develop job scopes, cost projects, and build detailed schedules and method statements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience collaborating with, inspiring, and managing diverse teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable adapting to fast-paced, high-pressure environments with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated commitment to upholding Health & Safety protocols
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located; GFL does not provide visa sponsorship
