About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Update, modify, and standardize legacy mechanical and technical drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and East Coast contractors to adjust drawings according to live project specifications
- Review technical data sheets and maintain strict CAD drafting standards
- Manage project documentation, organize drawing archives, and assist with technical data management
- Assist with operational tasks such as ordering parts, tracking Purchase Orders (POs), and processing project invoices
- Maintain clear, proactive communication across multiple time zones
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed coursework, certificate, or diploma in Computer-Aided Design (AutoCAD) from a recognized institution (e.g., SAIT, Red Deer Polytechnic, or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
- Proficiency in standard office tools, including Google Suite and MS Office (Excel & Word)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A natural mechanical aptitude or practical background (e.g., farming, trades, hands-on mechanical hobbies) is an asset
- A fresh perspective and a high level of motivation to streamline drafting workflows
