About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive the commercial success of our growing portfolio of ingredients, additives, nutrients and functional systems for the food, health and pharmaceutical industries
- Provide solution‑oriented technical advice to customers and keep suppliers informed about market developments
- Support product and application development together with our product specialists and application technologists
- Manage and expand business with existing customers while actively developing new opportunities across the Benelux region
- Achieve sales targets and drive projects from first contact to successful implementation
- Work closely with our customer service team to ensure smooth operational execution
- Analyze the market and the product range of our suppliers to find new potentials
- Responsible for making market strategy, purchasing, and selling of assigned Product-groups
- Build close relationships with our suppliers and customers
- Visit customers, analyze their needs, create value propositions
- Participate in production trials at the customer/implementation of small-scale trials in the application kitchen
- Project management in close cooperation with the responsible Customer Service Manager
- Alignment of the sales strategy for the product groups of the suppliers with the help of the Category Managers
- Discover and understand customer’s needs and develop tailor-made solutions
- Conduct lab, small-scale or industrial trials with customers
- Follow up offers, payments, and develop and execute Sales Budget and forecasts
Requirements
What you’ll need- You have a technical background in Food Technology
- You combine technical understanding with a strong commercial mindset
- You recognize opportunities, build long‑term relationships and communicate with integrity and respect
- You are dynamic, results‑driven and passionate about what you do
- You think in solutions and enjoy innovating together with customers
- You are fluent in Dutch, French and English
- You are comfortable with MS Office; experience with ERP or CRM is a plus
- You are willing to travel frequently within the Benelux and occasionally internationally for training, trade fairs and partner meetings
- Ability to solve technological problems and passion for food product development
- Exceptionally good communication, negotiation and analytical skills
- Very organized, reliable, positive thinking
- You have a valid driving license
