About the role
- Develop commercial and product strategies for designated ingredients
- Analyze the market and suppliers' product ranges to identify new opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers
- Visit customers, assess their needs, and develop a clear value proposition
- Attend customer production trials and conduct small-scale trials in the application kitchen
- Manage projects in close cooperation with a dedicated Customer Service Manager
- Align sales strategy for suppliers' product groups in coordination with Product Managers and Country Managers
- Responsible for market strategy, purchasing, and sales of assigned product groups in Germany
- Establish and maintain close relationships with our suppliers and customers
- Develop and execute sales budgets and forecasts
Requirements
- Team leadership experience
- Master's degree in Food Technology or a related field
- Ability to solve technical problems and a passion for developing food products
- Deep knowledge of value-added food ingredients
- Proven long-term sales experience with food ingredients
- Very good command of German and English (fluent in spoken and written)
- Valid driving license
