About the role

  • Role involves working as a Junior DevOps Engineer in a leading cross-border payment company.
  • Manage AWS infrastructure and automate deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance and reliability.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.

Requirements

  • 4.5 to 6.5 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Passion for automating tasks, using tools like CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins
  • Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana
  • Understanding of REST, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, API Gateway, Load Balancing
  • Strong Linux OS concepts
  • Knowledge of security practices (OWASP, static code analysis)
  • Familiarity with fintech security standards (PCI-DSS, SOC2) is a plus
  • AWS Cloud Certifications (preferred)
  • AWS data services knowledge (DMS, Glue, Athena, Redshift) is nice to have
  • Start-up experience
  • Experience working with distributed teams
  • Proficiency in one programming language (Python, Go, or shell scripting)
  • Proficiency in handling Production Issues
  • Familiarity with RDBMS/NoSQL (e.g., Postgres, MongoDB)
  • Experience with Docker, microservices, and cloud-native tools (Kubernetes)
